Ginny Dosa

Speciality dosa from amchi Mumbai, actually the dosa has been made more tangy, more tasty and more healthy in this fiber packed version. Cabbage, and carrots add not just fibers but also vitamin k & beta carotene too, tomatoes will add lycopen and tangy taste. Lets see the all different version of dosa.

Serves:  4

Ingredients:

Ready made dosa batter:  200 g

Cabbage: finely shredded ½ cup

Carrots: finely shredded ½ cup

Capsicum: finely chopped 2 tbsp

Onions: finely chopped ½ cup

Tomato puree: ½ cup

Tomato ketchup: 2 tbsp

Chat masala: 1 tsp

Oil/butter: 2 tbsp

Salt: as per taste

Turmeric powder: ½  tsp

Red chilly powder: ½ tsp

Garam masala: a pinch

Fresh coriander leaves: 2 tbsp

Process:

  • First lets make filling, heat the oil in wok or pan, once hot, add onions, when onion turns translucent add cabbage, carrots, capsicum, and shallow fry them.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, tomato puree, tomato ketch up and garam masala. Mix it well, keep aside and let it cool down. Divide the filling in four equal parts.
  • Now on the hot griddle apply a laden full of batter and spread it thinly. Sprinkle the a pinch of chat masala over the dosa and spread the part of prepared stuffing on it. Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves.
  • Now with the help of little oil / butter, fold the dosa over stuffing.
  • repeat to make 3 more dosa.
  • If you want to give this to your child dont forget to add some cheese and they will love it.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney or fresh green chutney and enjoy the tangy ginny dosa.
